The KOKO Club is the Brighton and Hove home for Too Darn Soulful. Presenting regular club events featuring the best soul, funk, rare grooves, rhythm & blues and great dance music from right across the spectrum.

Too Darn Soulful has established itself as one of the leading operators of 'Northern Soul' events along the South Coast and across Sussex using a whole range of event spaces including the Spiegeltent  at the Brighton Festival. 

The KOKO Club is an intimate and atmospheric venue which is establishing its own identity in the unimaginably vibrant scene in Sussex and the South Coast.

Saturday 21st February 2026 - Hold Back The Night

The gang are back once again for HOLD BACK THE NIGHT at The KOKO Club.

It's not just a run of the mill Soul or Disco session but a night of carefully curated Soul Gems and Dancefloor Classics from the classic era of 1970 to 1985 brought to you by DJs who have really paid their dues.

Saturday 2nd May 2026 - The Curtain Club Revival

A very special night for the KOKO Club. The Curtain Club, located in the Queens Hotel, is widely regarded as the first gay club in Brighton. The legendary venue was an essential rendevous spot for nearly 40 years until it closed in the early 1980's. Its coming back for what will surely be a very memorable occasion with an extra special guest DJ. Ian Levine is the legendary DJ from the Heaven Club and will be playing his first Hi-NRG set in 30 years.

Sunday 3rd May 2026 - A Sunday Kind Of Soul

The very best of Northern Soul - the KOKO Club is back with a bank holiday alldayer and will play host to the legendary Ian Levine with Paddy Shevlin and guests.
